SORAYA ECH CHENTOUF

For Soraya, documentaries are about empathy, presence and giving voice to the people in stories that matter. ‘This approach shaped my recent documentary ‘Invisible Scars’: when falling in love gets you killed, about femicide and its impact on survivors and the people that are left behind.’

Soraya studies Television Non-Fiction at Thomas More in Mechelen. With a background in International Journalism, she is drawn to documentary storytelling that combines journalistic integrity with emotional and cinematic depth.

Redhorse Collective attracted Soraya because of its focus on thoughtful and in-depth storytelling. ‘They take time to truly understand a story. That approach reflects the kind of storyteller I aspire to become. Someone who values depth, authenticity and human connection.’
