Niels hoornaert
Niels Hoornaert is a Belgian documentary filmmaker, cameraman and editor with a strong focus on human stories, mobility and West Africa. His work combines immersive field production with socially engaged storytelling.
Niels directed and produced TRANSPORC – Porcs sans frontières, a feature documentary filmed across Senegal, The Gambia and Guinea-Bissau about Thérèse, a determined entrepreneur, who transports pigs for a living. He also made Triathlon pour la Paix, a short documentary following a group of young people on a cross-border journey from Spain to Morocco.
