NARA TEZERA
Nara is an aspiring documentary filmmaker and journalist, with a clear drive to tell difficult, overlooked stories. She wants to create an environment where people feel comfortable enough in front of the lens to express themselves openly. Her work primarily focuses on minority groups, women’s stories, and human-interest.
For her final project, she created a documentary exploring the mental health of refugees. The documentary focuses on the trauma experienced during their journeys and how they navigate life years later, including the cultural and language barriers they face when trying to access psychological support.
