ISRA HAROUN

Isra Haroun loves the combination of beautiful imagery and the raw emotion of the human soul. As an International Journalism student at the Thomas More University of applied sciences she already made a documentary about women in Egypt. Her main interest lies in documentary storytelling and real human stories, so the decision to intern for Redhorse came naturally. Isra wants to learn more about how documentaries are made and is looking forward to the adventures that come with them:

“Movement is important to me, but sometimes I need to stand still, observe what’s around me, and learn from it, so I can truly document it.

For me, journalism is about showing reality as honestly as truthfully as possible.

Stories have no borders, just like Redhorse.
If there is a story that needs to be told, no matter where it is, they go and tell it. Sharing stories people might not otherwise see or hear is what I believe truly matters.”
